Application Tips

The application includes a series of short-answer questions to learn more about you and your readiness to start our training program. We encourage you to consider the following tips when completing your application:

• Address all parts of each question.

• Provide a specific example and/or specific strategy when prompted. This really helps us get a clear picture of how you have shown that skill in the past.

• Read over your short-answer responses again before submitting. In this volunteer position, clear and cohesive communication is crucial in order to support contacts using our service.

• Continue to learn more about the competencies outlined in this resource hub before applying. The Trevor volunteer journey is all about continuous learning and growth in service of our mission to end suicide among LGBTQ+ young people.
