The Trevor Project provides suicide prevention and crisis intervention counseling specialized to support LGBTQ+ young people nationwide who are feeling suicidal, experiencing a crisis, or need a safe, non-judgmental place to talk. Volunteer Crisis Counselors directly support LGBTQ+ youth and other contacts who reach out in crisis who reach out to Trevor’s lines, and are trained to explore a variety of topics including sexuality, gender identity, and suicidal ideation.
