Application Timeline/Due Dates

At this time, we have an incredibly high volume of applications already on file, and we do not currently have upcoming Volunteer Crisis Counseling training cohorts on the schedule. Therefore, our general Volunteer Crisis Counselor application is currently unavailable and will remain closed for the foreseeable future. We do not have a definitive timeline for when we will be ready to receive new applications yet. In the meantime, we invite you to support The Trevor Project in other ways!

When the application reopens, the Trevor Project will accept Volunteer Crisis Counselor on an ongoing basis and review applications in the order in which they are received when considering candidates for upcoming Volunteer Crisis Counselor training cohorts.

The Trevor Project receives a high volume of applications and has limited spots available in each training class. It may be many months before you hear back from us with a decision on your application depending on volume and capacity. The highest need at The Trevor Project is on our TrevorChat/TrevorText program, and you will likely hear back faster than applications for the Trevor Lifeline program.
